Edimar Miranda helped a lot with the work on the family coffee plantations since he was a child, so it was almost a given that he would have his own farm one day. In the mid-80s, he inherited a piece of land, where he founded Sítio Morada do Sol with his wife and two children. In 2014, he started

focusing on specialty coffee production and competed in several regional producer competitions. In 2020, thanks to a major investment, he further improved his processing station and built raised beds of about 400 m2. Edimar is committed to biodynamic farming and also uses the income from the

plantation for public benefit. He is the founder and president of the local agricultural high school, where biodynamic, chemical-free, sustainable farming is taught in addition to the high school curriculum. Edimar is considered a leader among local producers and is highly respected for his

successes over forty years.
