Janson Coffee was founded in 1989 by the descendants of Carl Axel Janson, who immigrated from Sweden. The family’s plantations, surrounded by nature reserves, operate according to the principles of organic farming and on average, only half of their area is planted with coffee, the remaining area is home to native vegetation, which, in addition to providing shade, also serves the rich local bird population. Arabica varieties such as Caturra, Catuai, Pacamara, and Gesha are grown on farms. Janson coffees regularly enter the top ranks of the Best of Panama competition, and their Gesha lots are ever-popular among barista competitors. Our current lot was processed with the wet method from the selective harvest of Green Tip Gesha cherries.
