Simbi Washing Station, founded by Abdul Rudahunga in 2013, is located in the Huye District of Rwanda’s Southern Province, near the village of Cyendajuru. During the harvest season, the station processes coffee cherries from around 1,000 local smallholders. Simbi was instantly ranked in the top 10 of the Rwandan Cup of Excellence in the year it was founded, and their focus on quality has remained the same ever since. The station primarily employs women, who comprise around 80% of the 85 permanent staff.
