according to us: the Kenyan coffee of your best memories
Pearless Estate is located between 1,400-1,600 metres above sea level in the Nyeri region, surrounded by Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Range. The 22-hectare plantation was founded in the 1940s, and most of its coffee trees date back to that time, so it's no wonder that the vast majority of them (almost 98%) are of the popular SL28 and SL34 varieties. The plantation also has its own wet mill and the crop is mainly processed using the local 'double washed' wet method, but they regularly produce experimental lots too with surprising flavours and with consistently high quality. Just like in the case of our featured lot, which was fermented in sealed bags for 72-80 hours, and then de-pulped and processed as a normal washed coffee.
