Fazenda Das Almas is run by Adriano Muñiz and his family under the umbrella of their own agricultural company, Agropecuária Muñiz. The family has been growing coffee and other crops since 1965. With a particular focus on coffee, Adriano is considered a pioneer in specialty coffee production in the Cabo Verde region. Our producer has created experimental plots on the plantation to identify the most suitable arabica varieties for the plantation’s microclimate and to develop post-harvest practices. Today, they utilise processing methods such as red, yellow, or black honey, carbonic maceration, and controlled fermentation with specific yeasts.
