The Hartmann estate is in Chiriquí Province, near the city of Santa Clara. Adjacent to the Amistad national park, the two plantations of the estate lie 1,400-2,000 metres above sea level, where eight arabica varietals (Catuai, Caturra, Maragogype, Pacamara, Typica, Bourbon, Pache and Gesha) are grown by the Hartmann family.
The plantations are surrounded by over 250 acres (100 hectares) of forests: the ancient vegetation provides the shade which is ideal for developing the coffee plants. Ratibor Hartmann respects and adores nature and takes good care of maintaining the health of the local flora and fauna.
