Chelbesa is the largest coffee growing area in the Gedeb region, with a total of 1,240 hectares of farms. Kebir Trading, established in 2015, prepared a special lot from the Chelbesa region, which has been selected for one of the local indigenous varieties. This is none other than Kurume, which was first catalogued by the Jimma Agricultural Research Center (JARC) in the 1960s. Kurume is not only an extremely resistant variety that adapts well to harsh enviromental conditions, but it is also outstanding in terms of its flavor profile.
