Nemba is located at 1800 metres above sea level in the Kayanza province of northern Burundi, about 90 kilometres from the former capital, Bujumbura. Greenco, the company that oversees Nemba and 12 other coffee processing facilities in Kayanza province of Burundi, gives washing stations and

producers support all along the production chain. They started their work in 2015, and have dominated all Cup of Excellence competitions in Burundi ever since. Greenco’s overall impact through 13 central washing stations (CWS) extends to over 15200 coffee-producing households. Although Burundi has

always been overlooked compared to the surrounding countries, we have been huge fans from the beginning and look forward to the Burundi season every year. With its super sweet and clean coffees, Burundi is marked on our coffee map every year.
