Introducing the third Kenyan lot we purchased during Casino Mocca and Ethicoffee’s joint African sourcing trip. We brought this coffee to you by air freight, so spring doesn’t go by without fresh Kenyan coffee. Kisson Estate is located in the Komothai ward of Kiambu County, about 40 kilometres from Nairobi. The 12-hectare plantation lies at the foot of the Aberdare mountain range at an altitude of 1,800 meters above sea level. The plantation is currently owned by Mr Peter Kimani who inherited the land from his parents. Kisson is now managed by the third generation since it was established in the 1940s. The crop is processed according to strict quality assurance rules, with great attention paid to fermentation and drying.
