The young and motivated Robinson Rozo is one of the greatest discoveries of our Colombian coffee importer in the past few years. His commitment and passion for Gesha led him to win first place in the Huila Mágico competition in 2020. Robinson’s featured coffee is a natural-processed Gesha micro-lot.

Located near the municipality of Algeciras, at an altitude of 1920 metres above sea level, lies Finca El Vergel, the plantation of the Rozo family for more than 30 years. Of the total 68 hectares on the estate, 15 hectares are cultivated with varietals such as Caturra, Colombia, Typica, Catimor and Gesha, and another 18 hectares serve as a forest reserve. Within the family farm, Robinson’s own plot is 100% planted with Gesha and a new farm planted with 2000 Java trees is also among his plans. After harvesting, natural Gesha lots are floated (a method used for separating the ripest, finest cherries), and then fermented in bags for 36 hours. Afterwards, it’s dried under the protective roof of a marquesina (greenhouse-like foil tent) for around 30 days.
